- Subtropical to subantarctic islands of South Indian and South Atlantic oceans, from Tristan da Cunha and Gough (south-central Atlantic) to Maatsuyker I. (south of Tasmania), Macquarie (far south-east of Australia) and Antipodes (south-east of Stewart I., New Zealand)

- To waters of south Australasia, south Africa, south of Madagascar and south-east South America
